With GG4L, MagicBox Strengthens Rostering and User Identity Management Tools on the Platform

With GG4L, MagicBox™ Adds Robust Rostering and User Identity Management Tools

26 May 2021

Award-winning digital learning platform, MagicBox™, has partnered with Global Grid for Learning (GG4L), a public benefit corporation, to bring improved rostering and user identity management tools to the platform. With these tools, educational institutions and educational service providers can manage all their rostering and student information from a single dashboard, rather than having to resort to multiple apps.

GG4L, which is committed to open data interoperability standards, secure data exchange and stringent compliance of student data privacy regulations, offers a rostering tool that provides multiple benefits beyond those offered by the usual industry standard app today.

“We are very excited to partner with a company that shares our values and commitment to making education delivery simpler and easier for everyone concerned. We believe that the integration of GG4L’s features with MagicBox will truly simplify our rostering process.” said Harish Agrawal, Senior Vice President at Magic EdTech.

With GG4L, all rostering and identity data of the users will be collated from the school’s Student Information System (SIS) to create usernames and passwords to provide single sign-on (SSO) facilities. With this, users need to only sign into their account on the platform to access all apps, rather than needing to sign in to every app to use it. So, only a single username and password needs to be remembered to access all tools, features and functionalities on MagicBox™.

We are excited about the integration of GG4L’s School Passport with MagicBox. The combination of the two platforms offers schools an affordable, open standards based, plug-and-play integration infrastructure.

Robert Iskander,

CEO of GG4L

Educational institutions and publishers get the added advantages of simple and standardized onboarding of new users, additional SIS integrations, such as Aeris, Skyward and Powerschool and more. This in turn can help with better adoption rates and therefore improved revenue.

In addition, with the elimination of the need for separate integrations, such as Clever, Google Classroom, ClassLink, etc., both publishers and schools can gain from cost savings.

With GG4L, MagicBox™ will now offer roster and user data sync for:

  • Classes
  • Staff
  • Student
  • Grades
  • AD Sync
  • IEP & 5O4 for Special Ed

In addition, with this new feature, multiple data sources are merged to provide secure access and management of information, such as:

  • School Information Systems (SIS)
  • Identity Systems
  • Directories/LDAPs
  • HRIS & Other Systems
  • LMS & Content Providers (LTI & Non-LTI Integration)

The partnership between MagicBox™ and Global Grid for Learning is based on the shared commitment to creating integrated ecosystems of EdTech solutions that are easy to implement, financially sustainable and ease education delivery.
