Tag Manager:

What is it, and how can I benefit from it?

Tag Manager lets you add specific tags and classification to assessments. Every time a class takes a test, these tags help a teacher identify learning patterns, a student’s strengths and weaknesses, and where they need more help.

For example, tags can be created to fall under categories such as classes, subjects, topics, channels, grades, etc. They can also be in the form of specific learning standards that can be linked to associated assessments, content, or assignments. You could also tag specific state and national standards (E.g., NGSS, California State Standards, among others).

If you haven’t tried this before, this guide will help you understand how and where to create tags. We will cover tag creation, tag categories, tag hierarchies, and tag assignments below.

How to Create these Tags

Select "Tag Manager" from the settings menu on the left. You will see all the existing tag categories and associated tags on this screen.

How to Create New Tag Categories

To add new tag categories, use the "Add Category" button on the Tag Manager screen. Add this information to proceed further:

• Category Name
• Category Description
• Differentiate Categories according to Content, Assessments, Assignment

By clicking the "Add Tag" button on the right side of the screen, you can also add tags to those categories.

How to Create Tag Hierarchies

Select "Tag Hierarchy" from the "Settings" menu. The screen will display the list of existing tag hierarchies.

Then, click the "Create Hierarchy" button on the Tag Hierarchy screen. You will need to provide the following information:

• Hierarchy Name
• Description
• Available Categories to set Tag Hierarchies
