MagicBox Earns 1EdTech Data Privacy Certification

Magic Edtech flagship product, MagicBox recently earned 1EdTech® Consortium’s certification for Data Privacy after undergoing a comprehensive review of its student privacy policy, data security, and other safeguards.

The Data Privacy Certification identifies that an application satisfactorily meets the expectations of 1EdTech’s TrustEd Apps™ vetting rubric and its results may be found in the TrustEd Apps Management Suite. It’s all part of 1EdTech’s TrustEd Apps Program. The rubric considers what data is collected, front-end security policies and practices, third-party data sharing, and advertising.

The app vetting rubric was developed collaboratively by the 1EdTech community, consisting of leaders from higher education, K-12 districts, government agencies, continuing education providers, edtech suppliers and other stakeholders. 

As part of its commitment to responsible data stewardship, MagicBox ensures compliance with major privacy regulations including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Its certification further validates MagicBox’s transparency and accountability in handling student data across global markets.

MagicBox is now listed in the TrustEd Apps Management Suite, reinforcing its role as a secure and trusted solution for digital learning environments.
