Dear Valued Customer,

Magic Software has completed a comprehensive accessibility audit of the MagicBox New UI/UX Teacher Portal, which is now VPAT certified. The results, released in April 2026, demonstrate strong alignment with WCAG 2.1 standards and reaffirm our commitment to delivering inclusive, accessible digital learning experiences for educators and institutions.

The audit evaluated critical areas of the platform, including the homepage, library, assessments, reports, and roster management. To ensure real-world usability, testing was conducted using industry-standard assistive technologies such as NVDA and JAWS on Chrome and Windows 11, helping validate a seamless and reliable experience for users who rely on screen readers.

What’s Enhanced in the New Teacher Portal for WCAG 2.1 AA

  • Improved Keyboard Accessibility
The majority of the key actions and navigation elements are fully operable via keyboard, ensuring better access for users who cannot rely on a mouse.
  • Enhanced Color Contrast & Theming Compliance
Updated UI components follow accessible color contrast ratios, improving readability across different themes and meeting WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
  • Better Screen Reader Support
Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and structured content ensure compatibility with screen readers for a more inclusive experience.
  • Consistent Navigation & Focus Indicators
Clear focus states and predictable navigation patterns help users easily track their position and interact with the portal efficiently.
  • Accessible Error Handling & Success Feedback
Clear, descriptive error messages and success toasters are provided with proper ARIA roles and focus management, ensuring users—especially those using assistive technologies—receive timely and understandable feedback during interactions.

Built with modern standards in mind

The MagicBox Teacher Portal meets WCAG 2.1 Level A and Level AA standards – the benchmarks widely adopted by educational institutions and regulatory frameworks worldwide. A VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) is also available to support procurement and compliance requirements.

This milestone reflects our continued focus on helping publishers and educational organizations deliver accessible, inclusive, and future-ready learning experiences.
